The Cane Rat Story

Based in Stoke Mandeville, Bucks, we an independent maker of craft rum.

We are one of only a handful in the UK who make our rums entirely from scratch.

The Process

Handmade from start to finish. We ferment our wash over several days, distilling and bottling every batch right here at our distillery in Buckinghamshire.

Once the 100l cask is almost empty, it becomes much easier to handle. We can then lift it and pour out the contents into the vat. A chance to admire the beautiful colour imparted by the cask, a beautiful gold, which turns into almost inky blackness
